Download: Gingerbread Icons
First let me start off by saying, please be easy on me, I only have about 3 hours of Photoshop experience! These are some icons I threw together to match up the new Gingerbread theme, I will be adding/updating these with time so keep an eye on them. These will most likely be used in Bugless Beast 0.6 but I have not decided for sure yet. You may use these icons as you wish but please give proper credit to me for editing them. To download right click each image and select save or download the entire .zip Note: the zip is not an installable package.
For those of you wanting to create your own icons, the proper guidelines and information can be found on android.com

Those are some awesome icons!
ReplyDeletegreat job i admire the work you put in sir
ReplyDeletelooks amazing!!
ReplyDeleteany chance there would be a red version?
if not no biggie...still amazing work and i thank you for it
I would personally prefer 0.6 to have the same icons as in official gingerbread, which I believe only changes the phone and browser icons. Otherwise I feel I would be overwhelmed by black and green. I'm sure others would feel the same. Thanks!
ReplyDeletei know a lot of people might like these, and i dont think they are bad at all... i would just prefer that these arent the default icons for your gingerbread themed bb 0.6. please make these optional- if they are standard it might prevent me from installing 0.6 when it comes out.
ReplyDeletehow would one go about installing these?
ReplyDeleteDominick if you wanted red themed you could replace the green tone with a red tone, its super simple. Nice work Pete not bad for 3 hours on the pshop
ReplyDeleteGreat work Pete!! I definitely think they should be implemented. Gingerbread is the latest from Android so why not....it makes perfect sense. I guess we won't see Bugless beast til New Years, seeing that there is 18 days left on the poll lol.
ReplyDeletehow are we to install Pete?
ReplyDeleteSomeone tell me HOW to install these please? SIMPLE and NOOB style? or point me to a link?
ReplyDeleteHey Pete, I loved your work on the Droid, you are my favorite developer. You said you are excited to get your hands on the Fascinate for Verizon. Are you going to develop for it when it gets updated to 2.2? If not, what would it take?
ReplyDeleteAre you going to include the new marketplace as well? I can't get it to work on custom roms.
ReplyDeleteWhat version is the market place that you are trying to use? Post a link so I can try it (not sure if I have it).
ReplyDeleteAnswer about the NEW market but NOT how to install the icons?? WE all ARE NOT android gods PETE!!!
ReplyDeleteUnzip desired app, add new icon, rezip app.
ReplyDeletesys -rw
cp /sdcard/Example.apk /system/app
sys -ro
These icons were mainly made for themers to use and create installable packages with.
HELL YEAH!! thanks Pete
ReplyDeleteHey Pete. This is the link where i got my New Marketplace. Its the one on droid-life.

Would like to ask if you would consider one more rom. Being the droid is coming upon its 1 yr of roms would like one of the OG devs to post a 2nd gen rom for droid and droid 2/x.
ReplyDeleteI would also personally prefer the stock icons from the new SDK
ReplyDeleteId prefer a new rom release to an icon pack, are you still working on Bugless Beast? It seems like months since it has seen any activity.
ReplyDeleteCan you make a icon for google voice?
ReplyDeleteI noticed these aren't included in bbv0.6. Can u please add to updates on rom manager? Big fan of the beast btw, keep up the good work! Thanks
