Download: Nexus S 2.6.35.14 Kernel
I spent some time today working on the Nexus S kernel. This kernel has been updated by 7 subversions, bringing it from 2.6.35.7 to 2.6.35.14. I have also added BLN and CIFS support to this build. Other features include Overclocking to 1.4GHz, Interactive governor, Voodoo support, updated Wi-Fi driver, TUN, color tint tweaks, and various bug fixes from upstream kernels.
I need this tested thoroughly before I feel comfortable including it in my build. Please let me know how it performs or if you come across any issues. This will work on ALL Nexus S phones (AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint) and ALL ROMs.
Update: It proved to be completely stable and is now in my builds as of 08-13-11

ReplyDeleteBeen running great all day, BLN is working fine. No issues so far.
ReplyDeleteJust flashed this onto my Nexus S 4G running stock DRJ90 deodexed. Looks good so far. WiFi signal seems better, but I didn't take before/after speed tests to verify. I'll let you know if I run into any problems. Is this posted over at XDA somewhere, or just here?
ReplyDeleteBeen using the kernel since the 13th and haven't had any issues. Looks great. It'd be nice to get this kernel as the default one for CM7.
ReplyDeleteWill you be working with the Samsung Charge at all?
ReplyDeleteIs this kernel supposed to fix wifi tether? Kernel seems perfectly stable, I thought since you also fixed Sprint wifi tether that this would fix ATT wifi tether. Oh well, still thanks for all the work!
ReplyDeleteWill you be updating only the kernel under the download section in the future?
ReplyDeleteDoes this support bld 30 sec?
ReplyDeletewill this work on stock rooted please send e-mail

Can I use this kernel on nscollab and cm7.I her your roms and kernels are the cream of the crop, thanks in advance
ReplyDeleteCan I use ondemand and sorry for my question on if this kernel is compatible on cm7 I didn't read through the post properly
ReplyDeleteI love ondemand,I think its a good mix for battery and speed
Could you post all the governorers we can use with this speed demon and are the voltages stock
ReplyDeleteSorry one more question?is it OK to adjust the voltages with set cpu
Sorry Pete I just realized the only governorers that will show up in my settings are the ones available and there isn't an option to adjust voltages if the dev doesn't make that option available
ReplyDeleteI'm really enjoying this kernel, very stable and fast thanks bud I'm a broke factory worker but ill donate next week to show my appreciation
Are we running stock voltages?
Wow,day 3 and so far this has been the best experience I've had, nice job
ReplyDeleteThanks! Best kernel I've used. Been using it since September!
