If we are going to run Gingerbread on our OG Droids then we might as well have the latest Motorola logo right? Exactly why I thought I should spend some time making this. Sorry for the blurry photo, the resolution of the logo on the device is perfect.
Download: redmotologo.sbf (flash with RSDLite)

Its sweet man. Kinda want to have the Dual Core one from the Atrix just to be funny but this is very nice
ReplyDeleteI like your style Pete.
ReplyDeleteNice!
ReplyDeleteThanks.. flashing now :)
ReplyDeleteAlready flashed... It looks really smooth and nice.. Thanks Pete!
ReplyDeleteI opened up rsd lite and got the file up on there and now the start button is grayed out. someone help :(
ReplyDelete@Xavier copy the file to the root of your system harddrive and rename it with four letters.
ReplyDeleteThis is pretty cool, though would I be asking too much if you can have an sbf for the original logo too? :P
ReplyDelete@ Pefe Alfonso Need help. First I tried downloading the .sbf file through my phone and it keeps bringing me to the actual wonderly site where there's nothing but jibberish and I can't do anything. Is there another way to download the file? Second, is there any other way to flash this file with something other than RSDlite?
ReplyDeleteThanks in advance.
@nathan, you must download from pc (even some browsers might act the same as your phone) and you must flash it with RSDLite
ReplyDeleteawesome brother!
ReplyDelete@Peter Alfonso, thanks for the help. I'll give it a try.
ReplyDeleteHell yeah man, this is perfect for my droid 1. What do you think you'll be working on, phone wise, on the verizon market? Im thinking dual core 4g but im waiting till the 4th quarter to see what comes out. Ps your the fucking man, been running BB for a long time.
ReplyDeleteWorked like a charm with sbf_flash for Linux. Thanks Pete!
ReplyDeleteI needed to install RSDLite 5.0 before Win7 x64 would communicate with my Droid properly, but after that it installed with no problem!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the nifty new logo!
Can anyone tell me step by step on how to install this please
ReplyDeleteI also needed RSDLite 5.0 with Win7 x64, although I originally rooted with a 4.x version. I also found that connecting the USB cable and then powering up the Droid got the bootloader without doing the dpad up. Maybe because I'm using Clockwork? So to sum up:
ReplyDelete- Install RSDLite 5.0
- Power off phone
- Move redmotologo.sbf to c:\
- Rename to 4 letters, logo.sbf (see post above)
- Launch RSDLite
- Select c:\logo.sbf
- Power on phone to Bootloader
- Click Show Device button to verify phone is connected
- Click Start
- RSD Lite should say PASS when done
- Unplug USB cable, power on phone to Pete's cool red M :)
I love it!
ReplyDeleteSweet, knew someone would be porting one over at some point.
ReplyDeleteFlashed and good to go...
Can someone point me in the direction of a RSDLite download please. Thanks
ReplyDeleteAre you supposed to download rsd lite on your computer or your phone? Also, most of the rsd lite files I am finding are in .zip or .rar from. Am I supposed to unrar, or unzip them?
ReplyDeleteIs RSD lite for the phone or the computer?
ReplyDeletesomeone please post a video
ReplyDelete@Eagle U.
ReplyDeleteRSD Lite is for the computer.
I was able to flash this logo via sb_flash in Ubuntu also. Thanks Pete! Looks good!
ReplyDeleteCan you do this on a mac?
ReplyDeleteI found THIS (http://www.droidforums.net/forum/droid-rooted-help/73579-using-rsd-lite-flash-sbf-file-correctly.html) post to be MOST helpful in this quest for OG moto glory... Bump this if you think anyone else may find what they are looking for :) Thanks again Pete, Keeping my OG strong
